In the mid-nineties Rob Schrab wrote, illustrated and self-published the cult comic book Scud: the Disposable Assassin, off his kitchen table. In 1997, Schrab left the Midwest to start a screenwriting career in Los Angeles. He and best friend, Dan Harmon, wrote and produced the infamous –yet never aired- TV pilot “Heat Vision and Jack” which starred Jack Black as a hyper-intelligent, renegade, astronaut & Owen Wilson as the voice of his talking motorcycle. Frustrated with Heat Vision and Jack never getting a chance, Schrab co-created Channel 101.com, a competitive film festival that’s run like a TV network. It was here that Rob invented “Draw-less Animation” a style that manipulates puppets with green screen. Death Cab for Cutie’s Crooked Teeth is Schrab’s first music video. He is currently working on creating and directing the Sarah Silverman Program for Comedy Central.
